Vibralux Denim proudly introduces its latest & most riskiest sponsorship to date: The Mario Chalmersiz kickball team from the Kaw Valley KIckball League(KVKL) in Lawrence, KS. The Vibralux Denim Mario Chalmersiz made it to the Final Four in last year’s KVKL post season tournament(30 teams), and currently carry a preseason ranking of #4 out of 32 teams in 2011. The team is coached by dj candlepants, aka Coach Candie, a veteran of the KVKL scene. (insert dumbass Winnie the Pooh with beer photo of me here…lol) He’s coached teams sponsored by KJHK(KU’s student run radio station), Jensen’s Liquor(the best local liquor store), and Rangelife Records(a NYC/Lawrence based record label). His teams have garnered 7 Elite 8 appearances, 3 Final Fours, & 1 Championship during his tenure as a coach in the league. When asked about the secret to his teams’ consistent success over the years, Candie offered up just one word: “bellyshirts.” (insert photo of me chugging a beer in my bellyshirt) This year he hopes to bring a championship home to Vibralux Denim & new owner Adam Johnson.
