We left to come on tour from the cold darkness that is Kansas.  The day before I left a crackhead had broken into the van through the window and was inside when I went to get in.  Terrified.  So with a blanket wrapped window we braved the cold drive to Austin.  Upon arrival we were greeted with cold beers, warm hugs, and unseasonably wonderful weather.  The beer and hugs were all that would last.  Rain has ruined our past 4 days and we have all settled into a funk.  Smiles are at a premium while sober and alcohol consumption has reached a peak.  Liquor stores don’t sell late around these parts.  We make family breakfast and family dinners.  Everyone is happy the rain ends tomorrow.
