We left to come on tour from the cold darkness that is Kansas. The day before I left a crackhead had broken into the van through the window and was inside when I went to get in. Terrified. So with a blanket wrapped window we braved the cold drive to Austin. Upon arrival we were greeted with cold beers, warm hugs, and unseasonably wonderful weather. The beer and hugs were all that would last. Rain has ruined our past 4 days and we have all settled into a funk. Smiles are at a premium while sober and alcohol consumption has reached a peak. Liquor stores don’t sell late around these parts. We make family breakfast and family dinners. Everyone is happy the rain ends tomorrow.

Chris Haffey started his own website a little over a month ago featuring some hilarious commentary on Rollerblading, old edits, and soon to be a bunch of 1 on 1 battles with his friends. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t see myself through the first 5 seconds of a skate contest with Chris and the kind of things we battle with aren’t fan friendly enough for his site. Youhatetoloveit though doesn’t really give a flying fuck though. Enjoy a drunken night of beer pong from a couple of guys who hate to lose.

Portlandia…

Portland is known for a few things. Shitty weather, strip clubs, great food, Ross Kuhn, and Burnside. We experienced all of those except one and here are some of the photos to prove it. Thanks to Rickayyy for the place to crash and Travis S. and everyone at Casa Diablo. Wish we didn’t have to skate Burnside with half the crew at the end of a 12 hour skate day either…

On The Road Again…

4 days and 3,000 miles later KC Roche, Adam Exline, Chris Farmer, Michael Garlinghouse, Bfree, and I made it to Portland. The road was full of hardships and triumphs. We had a fuel leak all the way to Minneapolis and got high off the fumes, grilled out with the Farmers, got detained by the police on suspicion of drug trafficking, ate like kings in Lincoln, Exline made out with a 40 year old woman in Utah and none of us died. Half the journey is getting there I suppose and it took 3 straight days of driving. Fuck that journey.
